Beetlejuice
Michael Keaton has the title role in this very offbeat comic ghost story, and he gives a star turn, though the part is somewhat limiting. This is a very quirky picture; how you respond to it may well depend on what kind of mood you are in, whether you can tolerate the movie's somewhat self-indulgent attitude. It lacks a real, consistent theme--which is its undoing--and we are never really sure how to react to Keaton's character, but there are plenty of funny parts and some good visual effects. Be advised that the humor is a bit idiosyncratic.
