Biloxi Blues

Mike Nichols does Neil Simon. Reasonably entertaining, but hardly the classic it was raved to be. Matthew Broderick is good. I will say that I found it disconcerting (to say the least) that the same "crazed D.I. threatens boot" motif that was so terrifying in “Full Metal Jacket” is used here for laughs. I'm not so sure that's funny.
