Crimes of Passion
Despite all the ballyhoo, this is a lousy picture. Ken Russell must have really gone around the bend. Not scary enough for a thriller, not erotic enough for a sex picture, this movie features bad writing, crappy production values, a third rate plot, and even poor direction. Add to all that the fact that we don't even know what's going on half the time and you wind up with a real mess. I guess Anthony Perkins just can't restrain himself when offered the role of a distasteful psychopath, but God only knows what Kathleen Turner was doing mixed up in it. What? If I were her, the first thing I would do would be to fire my agent, or whoever the hell it was that brought me the script in the first place. Forget this. If you're looking for cheap thrills rent some real porno.
