Hero

A lavishly beautiful and thrilling martial arts drama set in China's past. Jet Li plays a swordsman who has reportedly dispatched three top assassins who threatened the emperor. But as he tells his tale, it becomes increasingly obvious that his story is not so straightforward as it first appears. The events are portrayed three times, in three different ways, each with its own gorgeous color palette. While the fight scenes are spectacular, the “Rashomon” -like approach makes “Hero” more than just another swordplay epic.
