Tequila Sunrise
Maximally disappointing. A superstar writer (Robert Towne) and very appealing performers (Pfeiffer, Russell, Gibson) promised more than this lethargic mood piece comes even close to delivering. Nothing much happens except that a few attractive people sit around exchanging significant glances and acting ambivalent about everything. Worthless plotting--Towne probably prided himself on making the only movie about drug traffickers in which there is only one gunshot (aww c'mon Bob... why not zero?). He should have put in a few more Uzis. At least they would have woken us up periodically.
