The Lost Boys

Not surprising that I would like this, vampire fan that I am, but this update is done with style and panache. Reminds me of “Fright Night” with its blend of comedy and horror. Of course it plays fast and loose with the rules and the legend, but what the heck. Good special effects. Kiefer Sutherland practically shoots sparks as one of the vamps; he has great screen presence. Not deathless (no pun) cinema, but neat writing and nifty camera work make this an enjoyable diversion.
