The Secret of My Success

Michael J. Fox doing what he does best, which is playing an artful Yuppie with an uncanny knack for business. This is actually quite a funny picture, I think, and manages to be rather inoffensive at the same time, probably because it never takes itself too seriously. While some may quibble with the film's moral perspective, which suggests that money, power, and getting the pretty girl are the only things that matter (aren’t they?) that would be taking the whole thing far too seriously. The picture is polished, smoothly directed, and constructed with a modicum of wit and intelligerce. And in today’s marketplace, that's already more than we should expect.
