Vision Quest

How about this: the “Rocky” of high school wrestlers? Not a bad little picture, about the attempt of a high school wrestler (Matthew Modine) to beat the touhgest wrestler in the state, and to win the heart of a new girl (played with extreme attractiveness by Linda Fiorentino). Modine plays it very understated--no bombast here, and he kind of sets the tone for the whole picture. A lot of it rings true; ie. you could believe that the people might actually think that way. In any event, you can't help but get a little psyched up by the proceedings, and I'll give you two guesses as to who wins the climactic match.
