Above the Law

I went to see this when I was in a foul mood and wanted to eat junky food and see a bad, violent, junky movie. As it turns out, this movie was very violent, but it wasn't half bad (if you like that sort of thing). The plot is a little thin, but Steve Seagal is quite a commanding figure on screen (keep an eye on him.). Now, Steve is reportedly an Aikido expert, and this film looks like he really is. The violence is incredible--almost poetic in its intensity. Worth seeing just for the fight scenes, which are at once astonishing and kind of believable. Though this doesn't look much like the kind of Aikido I remember studying.
