Barcelona

The second feature from Stillman, and full of his typical dry, understated humor and keen observation of the foibles and angst of well-meaning young adults. A straightlaced salesman in Barcelona is visited by his bon vivant Navy cousin, and they talk about the damndest things, while getting involved with a host of gorgeous women. Other things happen too, but the point of the picture is the interplay between the characters, the razor-sharp dialogue (which sounds completely fanciful and at the same time completely genuine), and the struggles of people who are sometimes too smart for their own good.
