Striking Distance
A lot of sound and fury with Willis playing (surprise) a disenchanted renegade cop wallowing in self pity, with Parker as his sidekick. Some decent action scenes, but in the end fairly routine. The nice photography and views of the Pittsburgh area are not enough; it should have been better. Actually, to be fair, Willis is improving as an actor. And there is one funny scene, when Willis and his Dad (Mahoney) discuss Willis's dating life while engaged in a hellacious car chase. (9/23/93)
