Mystic River

Lugubrious, painfully slow, way too long, and visually dark to the point of obscurity, this has got to be the most overrated movie in recent memory. Self consciously directed by Clint Eastwood from Brian Helgeland's fussy script, it is mostly overacted by its all-star cast. The human emotions and connections are as unconvincing as the fake sounding Boston accents.
